Digital aid for dementia and memory disorders
.. with the support of relatives
Why “Living in my shell”?
People with dementia need a protected environment, such as a mussel shell or a snail shell.
However, they must not be left alone in this. Hence the addition “… with the support of relatives”.
These are, for example, family and friends who use the aid together to support the patient.
Without these helpers, the aid cannot be used.
About me
“Life in my shell” was born out of caring for my parents to help them organize their daily lives, and for my mother, who suffered from Alzheimer’s, to preserve her memories.
As a qualified computer scientist, I have since developed the solution further, with advice from my wife Simone, a qualified psychologist.
